The Catholic parish church of St. Bartholomäus is a listed church building in Oppenheim. It lies below the market square and goes back to the former monastery church of the Franciscan monastery. As a mendicant order church, it is dedicated to the holy apostle Bartholomew.

Built in the early 20th century on the site of the older 'Schneiderturm' (part of the city wall). In case of defense, this was occupied by the tailors' guild, which indicates that this part of the city fortifications was easy to defend. The medieval tailor's tower was destroyed in 1689. Inauguration of the Ruprechtsturm in its present form on September 20, 1903. Named after King Ruprecht, who died at Landskrone Castle in 1410.
