The Lourinhã region in Portugal is famous for its paleontological findings from the Upper Jurassic period. On the north coast of Peniche, there is a small peninsula with limestone and volcanic breccia, known as Ilhéu da Papoa. This rock formation has a karst shape and is a popular fishing spot, as well as providing beautiful views of the sea.

This viewpoint is located at the top of a more or less steep slope that surrounds the Bolhos valley. On days with good visibility, it is possible to see the Berlengas archipelago and the S. Domingos Reservoir, which supplies water to the region.

A small beach frequented by fishermen, with no other support facilities apart from a bar and a restaurant. It also has conditions for surfing and bodyboarding.

This trail, right next to the cliff, is easy to do by bike, except at one point where you may need to dismount and carry your bike by hand. It's worth the effort.
