The wonderful weather inspired us to go on an autumn hike today... In the end, it was a lovely walk to Lindenau. We walked the Neanderthal Trail, which leads through beautiful, colorful forests.

Very close to Krakow is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wieliczka Salt Mine. You'll need plenty of time and a fair amount of walking (more than 3 km underground)! But you'll see an absolutely impressive mine with beautiful sculptures and enormous salt halls. Simply amazing.

At home, there was just dreary fog that didn't lift all day, so we had to go looking for the sun. We found it at Lake Hopfensee... simply wonderful, how it instantly lifted our spirits.
