Pure nature and relaxation

Lake Wölfersheim is the largest in the Wetterau Lake District. It was formed from a former open-cast lignite mine.

You can walk around the lake, although you won't see any water for part of the trail. However, there's a lot to do at Wölfersheimer See...a great playground, soccer golf, and soon, mini golf.

The Bingenheimer Ried nature reserve (identification number 1440019) is located in the Horloff-Aue west of Bingenheim, a district of the municipality of Echzell in the Wetterau district of Hesse. It is part of the Wetterau floodplain network landscape conservation area in the European Natura 2000 protected area network and is part of the Wetterau grassland area FFH area. Designated as a nature reserve in 1985 (StAnz 1985(3): 204), Bingenheimer Ried is the heart of the Wetterau floodplain network and an important nature reserve in Hesse.

The many lakes and ponds are good for the many birds and other animals
