St. Mark's Church was built as a basilica in the early 13th century and remodeled into its current form as a three-aisled Gothic hall church from around 1430 to 1520. This Hessian cultural monument now serves as the parish church of the Protestant St. Mark's Church congregation. Its inventory includes a Romanesque baptismal font from the first half of the 13th century and the landgravial crypt from 1620–1622. Solms Castle is located near Butzbach's old town, on Färbgasse. Its core is a late Gothic stone building, built around 1481 as an official residence, incorporating the city wall. Later, it served as the city palace of the Counts of Solms-Hohensolms (until 1630/31). It houses a magnificent Renaissance staircase dating from 1588. From 1879 to 2004, the district court was located here. Today, the castle houses medical practices. It is a very interesting church located in the center of Butzbach. It is only a few steps to the market square.

The Markuskirche in Butzbach is a Protestant church. The church was originally built in the 13th century. In the 14th and 15th centuries it was rebuilt to its current appearance.
