In good weather, you'll enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Walchensee and Lake Kochel. The Jochberg Alm is a must-stop. The Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancakes) is delicious, and the hosts are very friendly.

The Berggasthaus Herzogstand is located at an altitude of 1,575 meters and offers a great opportunity to stop off during a hike. In summer and winter, you can enjoy the view on the large sun terrace or treat yourself to Bavarian delicacies and delicious cakes in the cozy parlor. Lots of steps up to the fork in the path (Jochberg or Jocheralm). Be careful, there is a risk of slipping! In some places a stream flows over the steps. Be careful here, especially in winter, but also in summer, as ice can form or the wooden beams of the steps are slippery.

Very nice photo opportunities along the lake.

If the weather is good, there are wonderful views from the summit.
