A town hall was built on this site in the 14th century, but was destroyed in 1553 when Margrave Albrecht Alcibiades had the city set on fire. The second town hall building fell victim to the destruction of Höchstadt in the Thirty Years' War in 1633. The current building dates from 1878 and has a late classicist facade. The building now houses the local museum. Opening hours: Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. https://www.hoechstadt.de/erleben/tourismus/gehenswuerdigkeiten
