The Lengenbach, a tributary of the Nagold River, is dammed to create the Stadtsee (City Lake). A footpath encircles the lake, measuring just 300 meters. The walk is worthwhile, as the path offers a variety of scenic views. An information panel on the lake's shore explains that the Stadtsee was originally a reservoir for powering the waterwheel of the former Lower Mill. It also served as a trout pond, providing sustenance for the local fish. It remains unclear whether the dam was commissioned by Hirsau Abbey or by the local lords of the castle. Since 2013, a sandstone statue has stood on the lake's shore. It depicts the legendary giant "Erkinger," who once ruled Liebenzell Castle. As of 2021, the mill site located between the Stadtsee and St. Blasius Church awaits development. In this context, the Lengenbach stream is to flow above ground again from the city lake to the Nagold river. Housing and public parking are planned for the area.

The new building was a so-called "vaudeville theater." Vaudeville originated in Parisian fairground theater and is often associated with music and dance. In 1872, the private theater became the property of the state of Württemberg. When Peter Liebig from Mainz was called to Wildbad as theater director in 1885, the theater experienced a major upswing. In 1888, the theater received a new name: "Royal Spa Theater." It was renovated in 1897/98 as part of the redesign of the spa facilities. On July 10, 2014, 150 years after the building's construction, regular performances at the Royal Spa Theater resumed with a concert performance of Rossini's "Il viaggio a Reims"!

The Protestant town church of Bad Wildbad is the only town church newly built during the Rococo period in the former Duchy of Württemberg. This gives the building an important place in Württemberg church architecture. As the ducal church, the town church also served as a court church during the residence of the Dukes of Württemberg in Wildbad.

The “Posthotel zur Sonne” (Post Hotel at the Sun) was built in 1697 as one of the first larger buildings outside the Upper Gate on the Vorstadtplatz (Suburb Square) by butcher, innkeeper, and mayor Johann Philipp Deublin. In the 18th century, there was already a royal route for coaches that led from Stuttgart via Nagold to Freudenstadt and Strasbourg. In 1807, King Frederick established a post office in the Gasthaus zur Sonne. A stable for changing horses was added in 1812. At times, up to 50 animals were housed there. In 1898, the business moved to a new post office building on Leonhardstraße. Under Paul and Emma Luz, the post office was transformed into a hotel. During renovations in 1906, running water and electricity were installed. Professor Robert Nachbauer from Stuttgart had the magnificent half-timbering in the Franconian style uncovered and designed the artistically significant inn sign. `` . ... . After taking over the hotel in 1950, Karl-Friedrich and Lore Scholl had it modernized. Until its sale in 1984, the Hotel Post remained in the possession and management of the same family for generations, although the names changed: Deublin, Gschwindt, Luz, and Scholl.
