The weir bridge spanning the lock is part of the Neckar Valley Cycle Path and is used by both cyclists and pedestrians.

In front of the Roman Museum stands this impressive statue of a Roman legionary, depicting Publius Junius Secundus. The soldier was stationed in Osterburken in the 3rd century AD as a beneficiary of the governor. Beneficiaries were soldiers assigned to special duties such as customs and police duties.
