Great way great view

From the summit, the view extends from Lake Constance across the Bregenz Forest and far into Switzerland.

Good starting point for some hikes and two guesthouses nearby.

The Hollenke, or Kanisfluh, is an impressive mountain in itself. The easy climb is well worth it.

The station is easily accessible by train, and at the top, you'll enjoy a wonderful 360-degree view. A panoramic view without any effort. Of course, you can also walk there or start a hike from there.

There's an inn here with a large panoramic restaurant and sun terrace. Along the road, there's a smaller building with a terrace.

You don't climb – you walk. Step by step, a silent panorama unfolds, one that doesn't call, but remains. To the left, the world falls away into deep, wooded shadows. To the right, hills spread out like an open book, each fold a story of time, wind, and path. The summit itself is not a rocky giant, not a dramatic peak, but an invitation to the vastness. Those who stand here are in the midst of an almost childlike circle of mountains – not on a throne, but on a wide balcony. Further behind, the peaks of the Bregenzerwald greet you, and ahead, the view stretches to Lake Constance, at least on clear days. And then these flowers. Globeflowers, says one commentator, "reaching the sky." Perhaps he's not just referring to the quantity, but to their effect. They glow like little promises between the rocks, where the world becomes barren and clear. The train station seems almost surreal in this setting – as if someone had crept up from the future. But this is also part of the picture: the person who opens up these places, not to conquer them, but to lean on them.
