Good fitness is required, some paths are narrow. You have to go around the reservoir on the right, not along the left side of the lake as indicated in the route.

An easy cycle path runs around the Dürlaßboden Speichersee. At various points along the path, the lake is easily accessible for a refreshing dip.

Get up early if you want to combine a bike ride to the end of the valley with a walk to the Zittauerhütte, especially when it gets warm and thunderstorms are forecast. The valley is beautiful. The bike ride is not too strenuous, so there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the valley.

From the shore of the Durlaßboden reservoir you have a breathtaking view of the glittering water surface and the surrounding mountains.

Great photo spot in the shape of a heart here on the banks of the Durlaßboden reservoir. With the heart you can either frame the view of the lake or the view of the mountains.

With a motor you can get to the top very quickly and easily. The view is fantastic and you can fortify yourself with a meal.
