The White Hart is located by the River Arun next to the Stopham Bridge. There's a terrace outside next to the river as well as comfortable seating inside.

Well I have to be honest this is just what is needed after a bit of a hike. Nothing as peaceful as being able to sit down for a break on a proper bench with a glorious view out onto the surrounding woodland.

As you cross the River Arun using the main road, take a minute to admire the Grade I listed Stopham Bridge below you. It's one of the most iconic river crossings in Sussex and dates back to the 14th century. It features seven stone arches and is built of ironstone.

Beautiful old church dating back to the 13th century. The churchyard also contains one of the oldest yew trees in the country.
