Quaint, crooked, with smoke-blackened walls and ceilings inside. You feel like you've been transported back to a bygone era. Yes, you can see and smell the hut's age; it has a certain charm. Very friendly hosts. Wonderful view of the valley from outside. Highly recommended.

The Schwalbenwand Trail leads along scenic paths above Maishofen, combining a challenging hike with magnificent panoramas. At the Schwalbenwand summit cross, you'll reach one of the most beautiful vantage points above Maishofen. From here, the view extends far over Lake Zell, the Hohe Tauern, and all the way to the Kitzsteinhorn. The cross marks the highest point of the tour and invites you to take a well-deserved rest with a magnificent panorama.

The Talschluss Chapel—also known as the Hunter's Chapel or St. Hubertus Chapel—is picturesquely located at the end of the valley, right next to the popular "Devil's Water" water playground.
