We only knew Plau am See by name before and stopped there for two days on our way back from the Baltic Sea. It's a very beautiful area. The cycling and hiking trails are well-developed. Of course, it's not very busy in February. Perfect for relaxing hikes! 👍

Röbel forms a central hub for its surroundings and is a state-recognized resort. There is a boat connection and bus service through the national park between Waren and Röbel, among other things!

For a relaxing break, there are cafés and restaurants with lake views – the outdoor terraces right by the swing bridge are especially lovely. The routes are mostly flat and well signposted, making Malchow suitable for both ambitious cyclists and those who prefer a leisurely ride. Those who don't bring their own bicycle will find numerous rental stations on site, including those offering e-bikes. This makes cycling around Malchow a truly enjoyable experience amidst water, forests, and expansive views.

If you're cycling around Lake Müritz, a detour to Röbel's old town is highly recommended. The charming setting, with its well-kept half-timbered houses, historic market square, and two impressive churches, offers an ideal opportunity for a short exploration. The small cafés offer a relaxing break—perfect for recharging your batteries before continuing your bike ride.
