HeiligengrabeにあるKloster Stift zum Heiligengrabe（Kloster Stift zum Heiligengrabeとも呼ばれる）の敷地は、ブランデンブルク州で最も保存状態の良い中世の修道院施設の一つであり、1998年以来、国家的に重要な記念碑として指定されています。 この施設は1287年にシトー会の女子修道院として設立され、ゴシック様式、バロック様式、新古典主義様式の建物が一体となったアンサンブルで構成されており、後の時代の経済施設や付属建物が補完しています。700年以上にわたり、女性のコミュニティがここで生活し、働いてきました（現在は修道院長の下にあるプロテスタントの修道院です）。

The Kieve Polder is a successful example of modern peatland restoration and active climate protection. The approximately 65-hectare area was intensively used for agriculture until 2012 and was severely affected by drainage. As part of an ambitious project, it was rewetted to restore the natural water balance and halt the decomposition of the peat – a crucial step towards reducing CO₂ emissions. At the same time, the area developed into a diverse habitat: bog plants returned, rare animal species found new habitats, and biodiversity visibly increased. The project was the first of its kind in the world to be financed through MoorFutures certificates, an innovative concept for the voluntary promotion of climate protection measures. Today, the Kieve Polder represents not only ecological regeneration but also a forward-looking interplay of nature conservation, sustainability, and regional responsibility.

Today, the Kieve Polder not only contributes to climate protection but also provides a valuable habitat for numerous bird species and is an example of successful moorland restoration.

The Stift zum Heiligengrabe Monastery, a former Cistercian monastery, is the only almost completely preserved monastery in Brandenburg that has been in continuous use since its founding. In 1998, it was designated a cultural monument of national importance. Today, the monastery serves as a meeting place, a cultural center, and a spiritual center. A wide variety of events take place here: devotions, concerts, conferences, retreats, and seminars of various kinds, from bread baking to wild herb weekends, to writing and ceramics courses. You can stay here, book a retreat, relax, or even go hunting. The youth construction workshop of the German Foundation for Monument Protection operates here. A monastery shop is open for purchase. Weddings are possible here, as are excursions, both individual and organized, to the surrounding area and further afield. Guided tours are available, and overnight stays are available.
