スプレッテンブルク橋は1967年4月5日に正式に開通しました。モエルベーケとローケレンの間では、列車はダクナムとエクサルデに停車しました。モエルベーケでは、乗客はゼルツァーテ方面またはシント＝ヒリス＝ワース方面への77番線に乗り換えることができました。 9キロメートルの鉄道路線をいつか複線にするという意図は、スプレッテンブルク橋に見ることができます。実際、両方の橋台は橋桁自体の幅の2倍あります。 しかし、それは決して実現しませんでした。それどころか。両世界大戦中、鉄道路線は被害を受け、数ヶ月間運行が停止されました。 例えば、第一次世界大戦の終わりに撤退するドイツ兵が橋を爆破しました。停戦から1年足らずの1919年9月には、路線はすでに復旧され、列車は再びその区間を走行できるようになりました。1940年には、ベルギー軍が橋を破壊してドイツ軍の進撃を遅らせようとしました。橋は再び修復されました。 1971年に最後の列車がその区間を走行しました。1世紀以上にわたる鉄道運行の後、線路は撤去され、ローケレンからモエルベーケまでの自転車道および歩道として再整備されました。スプレッテンブルク橋自体は保存され、2017年には修復されました。 7層の塗料が除去され、橋は元のダークグレーの色を取り戻しました。 出典: industriecultuur.be
