There are some strangely grown trees on the Heinzenbach. Here, deciduous and coniferous trees are so close together that branches of the beech have grown into the pine tree and others wrap around the pine tree like an embrace towards the light from the edge of the forest.

A large, natural recreational area was created around the former natural outdoor swimming pool - on the initiative of a citizens' movement in 2000. A barbecue hut with a camping site and sanitary facilities are located separately on the edge of the forest, but only a stone's throw away from the forest educational and barefoot path, beach volleyball court, soccer field, cable car, table tennis tables and numerous play equipment for children of all ages.
