First mentioned in 1054, the medieval church dedicated to Saint George the Martyr, dependent on the Abbey of San Michele della Chiusa, became the parish seat of the Diocese of Parma after 1564. Completely rebuilt in Baroque style in the early 18th century, its interior was decorated around 1960. The place of worship preserves several valuable works, including the altarpiece depicting Saint George Slaying the Dragon, painted in the 17th century by Francesco Monti, known as "il Brescianino."
