The new palace served as the meeting place for the "Società del Popolo," where the Populists elected their consuls and conducted their business. Inspired by the architecture of the Palazzo Comunale, it stands in the square with a two-story façade: the lower story consists of a portico with Gothic arches, while the upper story is constructed of brick and crowned with crenellations, and four triple lancet windows illuminate a single large room. Pizzighettone boasts one of the best-preserved city walls in Lombardy.
