Briest Manor was built in 1624 and rebuilt in 1839 after a fire. It is considered one of the last remaining aristocratic residences of its kind in Northern Germany.

The area is freely accessible.

Without the foundry, the town of Tangerhütte would not exist – the foundry on the Tanger River. Construction of the ironworks began next to Vaethen in 1842. The "Aus einem Guss" association is currently caring for some of these historic buildings from the foundry's heyday. Together with a landscaped park, two castles, the mausoleum, the art-casting pavilion, and an artificial waterfall, this unique ensemble is to be preserved.

The mausoleum is an impressive building and a listed monument. It is one of the landmarks of Tangerhütte's city park. Built in 1883, it served as the final resting place for the deceased members of the Wagenführ family.

Tangerhütte's city park was laid out by the manufacturer Wagenführ starting in 1873. The result is an idyllic park with special features such as the lidded vase rondel, the mausoleum, and the artificial waterfall. The New Palace provides a magnificent welcome.

Contemporary history - even if it is falling into disrepair. Beautiful architecture.
