土地のおすすめウォーキング＆ハイキングルート

実際には2つの湖です。かつての西ドイツと東ドイツの間の国境地帯であった緑の帯（Grünes Band）沿いに、景観豊かに美しく位置しています。美しいアーラント川もここを流れています。ここでは鳥や野生動物を観察したり写真を撮ったりする良い機会もあります。サイクリングツアーでは、いつもここを通り過ぎるのが好きで、時々立ち寄ることもあります。

A visit to the interior is worthwhile.

Observation of waterfowl and cranes is possible.

Windmills have existed in Wanzer since at least 1611. This particular windmill was built in 1805, though originally in Pollitz, 3 km away. It was moved to Wanzer in 1868 and is now maintained by many volunteers. We were lucky enough to witness an interior inspection.

A shocking reality: Entire villages had to make way in the border region of the former inner-German border. A place that inspires reflection and is also a paradise for nature lovers. Here, the Green Belt meets the Aland lowlands. The biodiversity is impressive!

A nice ferry experience for people who don't normally travel on small ferries. Inexpensive (1 euro per bike and 0.75 euros per person).

Post mill in Wanzer, well restored

Spring 2024: The observation tower is still closed. The Hermann Ahrens Bridge over the Aland is still an impassable construction site. From the dyke path on the Elbe, there is currently no direct route to Schnackenburg from the east. The meadow paths are still very muddy and difficult to pass due to the flooding. It is better to turn left following the cycle path and cycle parallel to the former border over the Aland.
