Gumpoldskirchenの町外れにあったかつての石灰岩採石場では、1987年から1992年にかけて、様々な形態の美しい方解石の結晶が数多く産出されました。採掘の過程で、小さな鍾乳石の裂け目も一時的に露出しました。長年閉鎖され、緑化されたこの場所は、今では歴史的な発見の場にすぎません。

Wilhelmswarteへの寄り道は、素晴らしい眺めなのでおすすめです。

水道道はとてもきれいで歩きやすいです。日陰がほとんどないので、風が強く日差しが強い時はあまりお勧めできません。

A unique, almost rugged atmosphere is created amidst the light forests and stony paths. A varied section of the hiking trails around the vineyards.

From Calvary Hill, there is a particularly beautiful view of Gumpoldskirchen and the surrounding vineyards. The elevated location offers a sweeping panorama across the thermal region to the Vienna Basin. It's an atmospheric spot to pause for a moment and let the landscape work its magic.

The Schafler wine tavern is idyllically situated on the wine trails above Gumpoldskirchen and serves as a charming landmark amidst the vines. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views over the thermal region and the Vienna Basin. Outside of serving hours – especially in winter – it remains peaceful and quiet here among the vineyards.
