The Damböckhaus (1,810 m) is located on the Schneeberg plateau, not far from St. Elizabeth's Church. The hut invites hikers to stop for a break and offers regional delicacies as well as beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. A popular rest stop that combines tradition with alpine flair.

St. Elizabeth's Church on the Schneeberg was built in 1901 and is the highest church in Lower Austria. Located right next to the Schneeberg cable car station, it is dedicated to Empress Elisabeth ("Sisi"). It is a special place that combines culture and the mountains and offers impressive views.

The reservoir at the Almreserlhaus is picturesquely nestled below the Schneeberg. Its clear water reflects the surrounding peaks, creating a particularly atmospheric atmosphere. A worthwhile place for a break, combining natural idyll with mountain panorama.

At the Preinerwand Cross (1,783 m), you reach one of the most striking vantage points in the Rax. From here, the view extends far over the Vienna Basin, the surrounding valleys, and, on a clear day, all the way to the peaks of the Alps. The Rax Mountain Inn is located right next to the mountain station of the Rax cable car and is a popular starting point for hikes on the Rax Plateau. On the sun terrace, you can enjoy regional specialties while taking in the views of the Vienna Basin and the surrounding peaks. It's an ideal starting point or rest stop before continuing on into the mountains.

The Otto-Haus on the Rax (1,640 m) is one of the most traditional huts in Vienna's local mountains. It offers a cozy stop with regional delicacies and a large sun terrace. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama across the Rax plateau to the peaks of the surrounding Alps—a perfect starting point or rest stop for your tour.
