The Lavaredo Hut is located at an altitude of approximately 2,344 meters at the foot of the Three Peaks. It is a popular stopover on the classic circular trail around the peaks and can be reached from the Auronzo Hut in less than half an hour on foot. The terrace offers a striking panorama of the north faces of the Three Peaks and the surrounding Dolomite peaks.

Here, at the foot of the Three Peaks, the Rienz river has its source at an altitude of 2180 m. In its upper reaches, the river initially crosses protected areas in the Three Peaks Nature Park and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, namely the short Rienz valley and then the Höhlenstein valley.

Standard starting point for climbing tours to the Three Peaks, but also a tourist magnet. The food is ok, nothing more or less. On quieter days the staff is really friendly, otherwise it gets lost in the rush of tourists. Nothing as a goal in itself, but useful for the cake when you're there.

The effort of the almost 1000 meters of ascent are quickly forgotten with this incomparable mountain panorama. Just take a seat on the rocks or the lawn and enjoy.

The Lavaredo refuge is located in the Tre Cime area at an altitude of 2,344 meters. You can sleep in the refuge in summer, making it an ideal stopover destination. From the terrace you can enjoy a splendid view of the Marmarole, the Cadini di Misurina and the Antelao. It is also possible to pass by this refuge as part of the Giro delle Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most beautiful panoramic routes in the Dolomites.

The dimensions of the Three Peaks are so impressive that it is difficult to fully perceive their grandeur. Seeing the Three Peaks is a must in the Dolomites, and this point offers a spectacular panorama. These scenic spots can get quite crowded, but the experience is totally worth it. Early mornings and sunsets are slightly less crowded as all the day tourists leave.

The Three Peaks (Italian: Tre Cime di Lavaredo) are a striking mountain range in the Sesto Dolomites on the border between the Italian provinces of Belluno in the south and South Tyrol in the north. Lake Antorno is a small lake located about 2 km north of the more famous lake of Misurina, just to the side of the toll road that goes up from Misurina towards the Auronzo refuge and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
