The Canova Temple is the parish church that Antonio Canova wanted to build at his own expense for his hometown. The first stone was laid on 11 July 1819. The expense of the temple was supported almost entirely by the sculptor and by the community of Possagno, who provided some materials and voluntary work. Today the temple can be visited inside on designated days and times.

When the weather is good, you can watch the small chapel lying in the grass and let your gaze wander down into the valley. The interior is cordoned off, but you can see the inner area.

at the start pf this tour we could see the chappel in the distance. really cool to walk that way.
