Here at the Schierenwald forestry office there is a large, fully shaded 🅿️ for hikes through the Schierenwald. At the parking lot, the information board shows the hiking routes and burial mounds located here.

Several fords cross the gravel forest path in the Schierenwald. The small bridge is therefore very convenient for hikers.

There used to be a water mill on the mill pond at Springhoe Estate. In 1899 the farm buildings and the mill burned down, and in 1902 the buildings were rebuilt with the exception of the mill. The mill pond was later used for carp farming.
