The Laurentiuskirche is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Bludenz. It belongs to the Heilig Kreuz pastoral care center in the Bludenz-Sonnenberg deanery of the Feldkirch diocese. The church stands at a commanding height next to the baroque Gayenhofen Castle above the city and can be reached from the castle through an arch in the wall. The church can also be reached via a covered staircase, which begins at the Upper City Gate and City Museum in Herrengasse. Its course is angled twice. It was built in 1694 and renovated in 1840. The pilaster portico has a fresco of God the Father in the gable field by Florus Scheel after Schnorr. At the upper exit on the right is a coat of arms gravestone from 1684 for Johann Baptist Salomon and Mrs. Maria Kunigunde von Salomonsegg, née Schatz von Liebfeld, who died in 1669. The second staircase in the west was built in 1830 and has an oval fresco by Florus Scheel in the tympanum. The church was probably the Carolingians' own church in 806 and fell to the diocese of Chur in 940.
