Located a bit off the hiking trail, the little detour is worth it. You can take a break here to cool off your legs.

The trail from the Silvretta Reservoir to the Wiesbadener Hut through the Biel Valley and over the Radsattel is somewhat more challenging than the direct route, but significantly more scenic. Hiking boots are recommended here (especially in the upper section, where you occasionally cross scree fields), but otherwise, no special equipment is required.

From here you have a particularly good view of the Kops reservoir with its massive dam.

Around Lake Wiegensee, you can discover the various stages of moorland development. From slowly silting lakes to transitional moors and raised bogs, you'll find everything in a very small space. Add to that the beautiful flora in early summer and the impressive mountain panorama.

There is a marked winter hiking trail around the lake. However, it is only partially groomed and therefore very suitable for snowshoes.

The hike to Wiegensee always offers great views of the peaks of the Silvretta

A beautiful area for snowshoe hikes. I would only venture outside of the marked winter hiking trails with an experienced guide.
