The Neckarzimmern Lock is a significant facility on the Neckar River in Baden-Württemberg. It was completed in 1935 as part of the canalization of the Neckar River 1 2. The lock consists of two chambers and has a lifting height of 5.60 meters 1 2. The facility also includes a hydroelectric power plant that operates year-round. The weir bridge spanning the lock is part of the Neckar Valley Cycle Path and is used by both cyclists and pedestrians.

The Stadtkirche is a Protestant church with a long and fascinating history. It was built in 1887 and replaced an older church that stood on the same site. The church is a cultural monument and impresses with its architecture and historical significance.

From here you have a great view of the Neckar and Bad Wimpfen. It is nice to stroll along the Neckar and enjoy the great view.

The Protestant church in Bad Rappenau was built in 1887/88 from Keupersan stone by the church architect Hermann Bahagel according to the so-called "Eisenacher Regulativ". This means that it is oriented lengthways and facing east and built on a floor plan in the shape of a Latin cross in the neo-Gothic style. It is one of the most perfectly formed and structurally exemplary church buildings in the neo-Gothic style.

The town church was built on the site of a pre-Staufen church between the 13th and 15th centuries as a three-aisled hall building with a choir facing east, a sacristy and slender towers rising up on both sides of the choir. The tower bases still show Romanesque style features, the choir was renovated in the late 13th century, the sacristy was added in 1468 and the nave was renovated between 1489 and 1516. The towers were raised in 1512 and 1523 respectively. Important altars and other historical furnishings have been preserved in the church. The church is of great value for the town and church history of Wimpfen and has a significant impact on the town's skyline.
