Beautiful square in the city center, a few minutes from the station and a stone's throw from the historic pedestrian centre. The square is crossed by a cycle path which connects the station to the hamlet of Sovigliana in the municipality of Vinci, the city of Leonardo. The square is very beautiful, full, there are many stylized benches for sitting down. After dinner and in the summer, the square is very lively thanks to the many places around it: bars, places for aperitifs, ice cream parlors. On one side of the square there is also an ancient church which I recommend to see.

Built at the end of the sixteenth century by order of the Osservanza di San Francesco, the land was donated by the noble Frescobaldi family, while the Franciscan friars took care of the construction of the building and its embellishment, with stone altars, wooden choirs and various other works . In addition to the church area, the convent is outlined by the central cloister, with a classic rectangular plan, and decorated with tempera paintings depicting the Life of Saint Francis of Assisi, works created in the year 1686.
