Extremely easy and always clearly visible forest road. The trail runs through an open and sunny environment, making it particularly pleasant on winter or spring days. The only thing to watch out for in winter is ice. The road is rarely used by cars, and the snow, initially compacted and then partially melted, creates very slippery sections. Crampons are therefore strongly recommended for a safe journey.

“Death is not the end, but only a very specific end: namely, the end of a first, provisional period of life and the beginning of a new, unending epoch. Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world.’ So there is another world. Not only his disciples believed in this other world, but also his opponents. The lawyer, for example, asked him what he must do ‘to inherit eternal life.’ (…) Precisely because it lasts forever, this life is so precious that everything else in the present world pales in comparison.” (Text by Albino Luciani / Pope John Paul I)

A dark, fifty-meter-long tunnel from the Great War: you enter from the dirt road entrance and exit on the opposite side, in the middle of the woods, through a small door and up a ladder (or vice versa). Continuing along the path, you reach a restored trench. I'm not sure if this tunnel was Italian, French, or English: the Granezza plain was an important Italian logistics base in 1916; in 1918, the British and French arrived with large numbers of men and equipment, to support the Allies and as a last resort for the southern edge of the Asiago plateau overlooking the plain.

From Monte Corno, you have a beautiful view of the entire plain, all the way to the Apennines, Venice, and the Adriatic Sea on clear days! In reality, the summit of Monte Corno, its highest point (1,383 m), is located just to the north, within the rock labyrinth; but here, the monument enjoys a panoramic position and is also visible from the plain. The monument, 26 meters high and composed of four intertwined concrete sails, was erected in 1970 in memory of the partisan fighting and roundups that took place in these areas during World War II.

The Granezza British Cemetery, located on the Asiago Plateau, is a commemorative site that houses the graves of British soldiers who fell during the First World War. Immersed in a suggestive natural setting, between hills and woods, the cemetery is a destination for reflection and historical memory. The site can be reached by bike along panoramic roads that allow you to immerse yourself in the nature of these places.
