11月 26, 2025, Castello di Felino
Felino Castle is located in the hills between the Parma and Baganza rivers in Emilia, a manor surrounded by a wide, deep moat and defended by imposing bastions. You will enter an elegant and charming atmosphere in the interior rooms and enchanting outdoor spaces, where summer events can be held, illuminated by the vibrant light of torches and the romantic glow of the moon. The main courtyard is accessed via a bridge over a wide moat. The bridge, now fixed but a drawbridge until the 19th century, was the castle's last defense against invaders. The dark bronze door, once opened, reveals a bright, luminous courtyard overlooked by porticoes and galleries that, over time, have replaced the ancient accesses to the patrol walkways. The high walls, defensive towers, and mighty keep are surrounded by a lawn whose position and shape resemble a terrace overlooking the hills and the plains stretching below the castle. Today, after over twenty years of careful restoration, it can be admired in all its splendor. Its nighttime illumination is so evocative and powerful that it can be seen from kilometers away. A short detour to visit the town center (and perhaps stop at a bar for a snack)

A bivouac with a fireplace and stove is always open. Located at the foot of Mount Sporno, it's an excellent shelter in times of need or simply for a rest. The refuge is always open and accessible. Naturally, please respect the basic rules, taking any waste down with you and leaving everything tidy (preferably better than you found it).

The parish church of San Biagio, also known as the parish church of Talignano, is a Catholic place of worship with Romanesque forms. The parish church was probably built at the beginning of the 12th century by the friars belonging to the now disappeared Cistercian monastery of Rocchetta, which at the time stood on a slope of the nearby Mount Prinzera, even if the first evidence of its existence dates back only to 1230; in Romanesque style, it was born as an intermediate stop for pilgrims who traveled the Via Francigena, who could find hospitality in the annexed hospice which was later destroyed. Between the 16th and 18th centuries the church was modified with the addition of Baroque and Neoclassical decorations. Between 1930 and 1940 the building was completely restored by removing the added superstructures, with the aim of returning it to its original appearance: the exterior was almost entirely recovered with the demolition of the plaster and the reconstruction of the Romanesque decorations, the part of the rectory annexed to the church was demolished and some single-lancet windows were opened in the apse.

10月 19, 2023, Capanna del Monte Sporno
Monte Sporno is an interesting mountain located along the Baganza/Parma watershed ridge. Unfortunately this mountainous area is frequented more by enduro riders than by hikers. There is a dense network of carriageways and paths to be rediscovered and combined into more or less large and complex rings, giving vent to one's creativity. Here we propose a satisfying tour that allows for a fairly in-depth knowledge of the Baganza side of this mountain. Just below the summit there is the wooden emergency shelter, always open, especially useful in the winter.

9月 13, 2023, Castello di Torrechiara
The name of the castle stems from the term “Torciara”, literally “wine press”, as in the Middle Ages, this area this area was renowned for its vineyards and olive tree groves. Between 1448 and 1460, “condottiero” Pier Maria II de’ Rossi, a powerful lord of these lands, ordered the construction of this complex on a preexisting fortified building. The structure had to fulfill a double role, a dichotomy of sense and function. On the one hand, it was a military and defensive stronghold for the control of the underlying valley. On the other hand, however, it was the cradle of his love for Bianca Pellegrini di Arturo. Inside, the castle the decorations of the lunettes and of the rib vaults pay homage to the story of Pier Mattia and Bianca Pellegrini.

It was the hunting residence of the Farnese and Bourbon Dukes. It had a role of primary importance in the defensive system of the castles of Parma: counts and dukes lived here for centuries, the Sanvitale, the Farnese, the Bourbons. It is enriched by a large eighteenth-century garden surrounded by period walls. It preserves precious frescoes and stuccos inside, settings where women of hearts, culture and conspiracies spun destinies and plots.

Evocative castle with a large internal courtyard which is often the venue for events. The steep ramp is repaid by the beauty of the entrance complete with a drawbridge
