A worthwhile and well-maintained building.

Not much remains of the spur castle. But the remaining walls, along with the view, give the place a certain flair. Neu-Bolanden Castle is now a cultural monument.

Below the castle ruins there is a small rest area with a table, which can be reached via a small staircase.

The Adolf von Nassau hiking trail, as the name suggests, follows in the footsteps of the king... This chapel was built in his memory... the hiking trail starts right here

A pretty building that can be reached in a few minutes from the Kriegsberghütte... however, the view is not really worth it as it is heavily overgrown

The history of Bubenheim is very closely linked to this church, the oldest Romanesque village church in the Palatinate (from 1163)! Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to gain spontaneous access here, as you have to go through the hassle of obtaining the key from a family at the end of the village (assuming you meet someone there)! In front of the (locked) door to the church grounds, on the left, there is a stone scallop shell that points to this medieval cultural asset and is part of the "Star Trail/Chemin des étoiles". This European model project runs along the pilgrimage routes of St. James in the border regions of the Palatinate/Saarland/Alsace/Lorraine. More information: www.sternenweg.net

1120 - 1126 founded by Werner I of Bolanden 13th century: a famous member of the [women's] convent was the mystic Christina von Habe, whose stay we owe the only descriptions of the monastery. 1525: destroyed in the Peasants' War. After reconstruction, increasing loss of importance 1656: destroyed again in the Thirty Years' War.
