Over the lake outlet and eastwards up into a hidden high valley, which you leave shortly before the end to the left upwards. Over a short steep step secured with a wire rope, finally over scree, up to the wide southwest ridge. Along this up to the upper end of the Zufrittferner (3262 m). Cross the glacier diagonally eastwards, heading exactly towards the summit structure of the Zufrittspitze (crampons recommended - a must on bare ice). Where you then join the ascent route from the Ultental, on the steep southwest ridge at the beginning somewhat laborious over crumbly walking terrain, finally through a steep gully secured with a steel chain, up to the Zufrittspitze (3439 m). Walking time from Hölderle approx. 8-9 hours, from approx. 3200 meters only scree field.

In July the alpine roses bloom particularly beautifully here. This year there is a lot of water everywhere. The tops of the mountains are still covered with snow.

The Höchster Hütte is the only alpine shelter in the Ultner mountains. It lies at the foot of the Hintere Eggenspitze (3,443 m), the Lorcher Spitze (3,347 m), the Weißbrunnspitze (3,253 m) and the Zufrittspitze (3,439 m).

There is a rest area with a water point, a view of the Weissbrunnsee and a landscape of meadows and streams soaked in water.

The only fountain on the way to Höchster Hütte, so fill up your bottles again. Good place for a break, there are also two picnic tables.

A strenuous tour that is actually doable with a certain level of fitness. Small climbing on the upper section but can even be done with a dog... Great 3000m peak with a great view of the surrounding mountains... We had very warm weather in June and half of the tour was in the sun, so take enough to drink...

To the right it goes to the Zufrittspitze and to the left to the other peaks (Hintere Eggenspitze, Lorchenspitze and Weissbrunner Spitze. Warning: the times are somewhat doubtful; already the third signpost, which says 2 hours 40 minutes to the Zufrittspitze, 10 minutes less for Eggenspitze, although this one is further.

Unfortunately, the mountain can no longer be climbed under normal conditions. I was at the Zufrittsee a good two weeks ago to do a hike to the Zufrittspitze. Unfortunately there were several rock avalanches weeks, months or even years ago, which simply buried almost every path and some markings. Accordingly, you walk on scree all the time, you have to be careful not to slip and it is really dangerous. Unfortunately, there was no sign or barrier in the valley.

Very beautiful summit of the region. Very lonely location, but definitely worth a visit. The ascent is quite long and on the last kilometers only by loose scree fields. Fuses are wherever they are needed. As a highlight, to the Gipfelstürmern, or as Bertour I can recommend this mountain with its 3257 meters only. We climbed the summit of the Morter Alm, walking time sca. 3-5 hours. From the Martello Valley go also tours, but much longer.

Extraordinary "Summit Cross" Super Panorama and Super Farsightedness. Highly recommended tour. Musthave the region. Climb over loose scree field. Partly defective marking of the way.
