この建物は、市内で最も重要な貴族の宮殿の一つであり、1454年から400年間Thun家が所有していました。その紋章は今日でもファサードの端やポータルの頂点に見ることができます。かつてのVia Largaに面したファサードには、ルスティカ風の偽装建築の装飾の痕跡が見られます。16世紀半ばには、宮殿は他の建物と接続され、大幅に改築されました。トリエント公会議の最後の会期中、枢機卿であり使節であったエルコレ・ゴンザーガとジョヴァンニ・モローネが滞在したこの建物で、いくつかの会議が開催されました。1831年からは、ブレシアの建築家ロドルフォ・ヴァンティーニの指揮の下、大規模な修復作業が行われました。1873年にトレンティーノ市がこの宮殿を取得し、それ以来市庁舎として使用されています。出典：説明板

The Palazzo Thun now houses Trento's town hall. The original Neptune from the Piazza Duomo fountain is displayed in the courtyard. The fresco cycle in the stairwell was created in 1551 by Felice Brusasorci of Verona. The palace, now used as the town hall, stands above the ancient Cardo Maximus, the main north-south street of Tridentum. Only the courtyard is open to the public. The Palazzo Geremia is a prime example of the glorious era of Bernhard von Cles (1485-1539). This Renaissance palace, dating from the turn of the 15th to the 16th century, boasts a facade adorned with vibrant frescoes. The trompe-l'œil architecture blends the depicted events so skillfully into the actual architecture that the boundaries become blurred. On the second floor, a painted loggia depicts Emperor Maximilian I granting an audience to dignitaries. The two houses, which have a polygonal floor plan and rest on the sturdy pillars of a covered walkway, are distinguished by an extensive 16th-century fresco cycle spanning several registers. Even in the old town of Trento, which is characterized by many ancient buildings, the "Case Cazuffi - Rella" stands out. No other building in Trento can boast such a complex history of paintings. On the left façade, mythological figures and scenes can be seen: above, Geryon and the allegories of Fortuna, Opportunity, and Nemesis; below, Damocles at the table of the tyrant Dionysius. On the right façade are Virtue, Time, the Triumph of Love, Apollo, and Abundance.
