リックエルスビュラー・クーグの建設は1979年に始まり、1981年に落成しました。このクーグは、1615年12月1日に発生した大洪水で沈んだリックエルスビュル村にちなんで名付けられました。その遺跡は、ヴィーディングハルター・ノイエン・クーグとリックエルスビュラー・クーグの間の堤防の下にあります。1982年にこのクーグは自然保護区に指定され、それまでの保護区「シルト島東部のワッデン海鳥類保護区」に取って代わりました。 1997年12月10日、シュレースヴィヒ＝ホルシュタイン州政府はインフォメーションパビリオンを開設しました。ここでは、ドイツ語とデンマーク語で、見られる鳥の種類について情報を提供しています。

ドイツ/デンマーク国境に直接位置しています。休憩に良い機会で、美味しいケーキとコーヒーがあります。天気が良い場合はテラスを利用できます。

An unexpectedly well-built little trail park in the middle of nowhere. It was really fun! I highly recommend all three sections. Section 1 offers plenty of flowing turns and even a short steep descent. Everything is well-signposted and intuitive to ride, even suitable for beginners. Have fun and ride safe!

Northernmost point of mainland Germany It's not spectacular, but if you're cycling the North Sea Cycle Route, it's a must-see. Seeing this spot is a must 😉. There's a shelter in the parking lot for shelter in case of rain. There's also information about the dike construction and the Wadden Sea.
