Lumignano is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages in the Berici Hills. Construction of the church of San Maiolo began in 1937, replacing the existing one. Restoration work has recently been completed.

It is one of the many quarries in the Berici Hills (known as 'priàre' in the Venetian dialect) for the extraction of the prized Vicenza stone, widely used and appreciated in architecture. Some quarries (like this one) have been abandoned; others are still active; and still others have been converted for various purposes. A beautiful dirt climb, a bit challenging at first but then more regular. The exposure is southeast, so despite the many trees, it's best avoided during the hottest hours of the summer, but is very enjoyable during the spring and autumn months.

Attila's Tooth is a rocky outcrop on the edge of a sheer cliff. It's enclosed by a wooden fence for safety, easily surmountable since there's no protection above the cliff and vegetation obscures the drop. A few steps along the trail is the Croce del Monte Brojon, another very exposed vantage point with a beautiful view of the village of Lumignano below, the Hermitage of San Cassiano, and the plain, with the Euganean Hills on the horizon.

The Croce del Monte Brojon is positioned on a spectacular panoramic pulpit overlooking the sea: the small valley below opens onto the plain and the town of Lumignano, with the Euganean Hills on the horizon and the Hermitage of San Cassiano on the right, nestled in the rock face. 33 million years ago, this imposing vertical face of the eastern Berici Hills was a coral reef that bordered a vast tropical sea! The cliff below is a very well-known and popular climbing gym, nationally and beyond. There are no protections, so you have to pay close attention to the edge of the precipice, literally two steps away.
