Trout are farmed here. Since July 2025, there's a new, friendly owner. If he's there, he can give you information about the ponds and you can buy freshly smoked trout. You can also buy these trout at the weekly market in Gronau on Fridays.

A large manor house is located near the castle. Komoot shows a thin black path leading uphill from the manor house; however, this path is private and now closed, making the manor house a dead end for hikers!
