Refuge owned by the Mondovì CAI and dedicated to the memory of Havis de Giorgio, a mountaineer from Montreal who died in 1939. It can be easily reached on a dirt road (or with some shortcut path) in half an hour from the Porta di Pian Marchisio where you leave the 'car. The Piero Garelli refuge is a characteristic Alpine structure with a beautiful botanical garden next to it. The view is excellent and wide open.
