Closing of the conference and recreation center Kloster Kostenz in summer 2022. The conference and recreation center Kloster Kostenz was closed on July 31, 2022. The facility's operations have not been able to cover costs for years. Given the current circumstances, the Barmherzigen Brüder Bavarian Order Province KdöR no longer saw any positive economic development prospects for the future.

The so-called "Swedish Crosses" are memorial crosses commemorating those killed as victims of the often marauding (plundering) troops that roamed the country during those warlike times (the first half of the 17th century). However, in the strictest sense of the word, they are not "atonement crosses," because such crosses were to be erected by the perpetrators themselves as part of their atonement (penance) for their crimes, whereas memorial crosses were erected by people close to the victim (often family members, possibly friends, or neighbors).
