H.C. Andersen Skoven is a relatively new forest. It was planted in 2001, inspired by forests that H.C. Andersen visited during his stays at various estates in Denmark.

Odense, with approximately 200,000 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Denmark and one of the oldest. It has a pretty city center with many half-timbered houses.

The Odense Å is a river steeped in history and beauty. A magnificent piece of nature in the middle of the city. It is 54 kilometres long in total and winds its way through the idyllic landscape of Funen. The first boat traffic on the river dates back to 1882. Here at the bridge, you can watch the river flow for a moment.

Odense is a fairytale city. In the parks or along the roadsides, you will see a total of 16 sculptures and statues depicting characters from Andersen's fairytales. Here by the lake, the mermaid appears.

Close to Næsby you can hike across a meadow close to the river. And maybe you will see some cows grazing.

Close to Odense harbour you will find the city park Åløkkeskoven. It is a nice forest where you can wander around.

There are also some beautiful green spaces and parks.
