Drop zone codenamed "VALDEMAR" The Grenaa Marine Association erected the memorial to commemorate the local freedom fighters who, during the war, received weapons and explosives from England on the Grenaa Heath at great risk to their lives and health. Our thoughts also go out to the brave English pilots and crews who, despite poor navigation equipment, dark terrain, and German fire, were able to find the drop zone and fly home.

The church in Nimtofte is located in the middle of the village. It was built in the 12th century from granite squares and rough fieldstones. The parish barn was built in 1599 and is the oldest preserved parish barn in the country. In the barn you can find a small agricultural museum.
