Near the beach there is a kiosk and a restaurant, perfect for taking a break and refueling. On the opposite bank, which is easy to reach by bike, there is a campsite that also offers canoe rentals. A canoe tour on Lake Mirow is a wonderful way to enjoy the tranquil beauty of the lake from the water. A special highlight are the local fisheries on the lake. There you can try freshly smoked fish, which is prepared directly on the lake. There is nothing better than a delicious fish sandwich while looking out over the lake. The cycle paths around Lake Mirow are well developed and offer beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. The area here is ideal for cycling, with good surfaces and occasionally excellent cycle paths.

There are two other architectural highlights: the Renaissance gatehouse and the Johanniter Church, which also houses the family crypt of the Strelitz ducal house. The palace has a fascinating history. At its core, it still consists of parts of a previous building from 1708, which was partially destroyed in a fire in 1742. It is a small, two-story structure with an H-shaped floor plan, flanked by short, risalit-like wings.
