The Waldbaude Großer Dreiherrenstein is a rustic restaurant in the Thuringian Forest, located directly on the Rennsteig Trail. It offers a cozy atmosphere and traditional Thuringian specialties, including roasted pork, dumplings, and seasonal dishes. Opening hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A cozy, idyllic spot in the middle of the forest. Ideal for relaxing. Even a beaver has left its traces here.

I could rave about this mountain lake (pond). Simply beautiful, with natural lawns and swimming areas. Please people take your garbage back with you so that it stays as nice as it is.

Very nice little corner with a log cabin and lots of benches to rest.

Since Easter 2021, the inn has been under new management. The new owner is from the Leibis-Lichte Dam region, so he's very familiar with local cuisine. The food is delicious and available at fair prices. The lodge is quaintly furnished, and the interior certainly has a story to tell. In the warmer months, additional seating is added to the outdoor area behind the lodge, so you can always find a spot even during peak season. Highly recommended... P.S. One of the most beautiful viewpoints at the Leibis-Lichte Dam! A wooden shelter adorns the mountain & gives your photo subject a special flair. With a bit of luck, you will have this place to yourself, which, however, rarely happens. Please take a seat and enjoy the breathtaking view of the blue water and lush green of the surrounding forests. This is what Thuringia looks like!
