The Waldbaude Großer Dreiherrenstein is a rustic restaurant in the Thuringian Forest, located directly on the Rennsteig Trail. I could rave about this mountain lake (pond). Simply beautiful, with natural lawns and swimming areas. Please people take your garbage back with you so that it stays as nice as it is.

Since Easter 2021, the inn has been under new management. The new owner is from the Leibis-Lichte Dam region, so he's very familiar with local cuisine. The food is delicious and available at fair prices. The lodge is quaintly furnished, and the interior certainly has a story to tell. In the warmer months, additional seating is added to the outdoor area behind the lodge, so you can always find a spot even during peak season. Highly recommended... P.S.
