Here too the namesake of Triniusstein and Baude was on the road - August Trinius (1851 - 1919). The illegitimate son from Saxony, who married a woman from Cottbus, learned to be a businessman, was an accountant in Berlin, immigrated to Germany, moved to Thuringia (Waltershausen), and was appointed court councilor for his services.
He, who became one of the most famous hiking and travel writers in Germany. He made his breakthrough with the band "Märkische Streifzüge". Eight volumes of "Thuringian Wanderer" contributed to the Rennsteig enthusiasm in the Wilhelmine Empire. Numerous towns, such as Bad Tabarz, Friedrichroda or Masserberg, developed into health resorts. You can still recognize them today by their very typical, magnificent, often beautifully restored houses in Kurhaus architecture, which can only be found in the sophisticated bathing world on the Baltic Sea coast.
