The Werraquellhütte is a great place to stop! It tastes very good! 👍

You simply have to visit the Werraquelle once. Super seating with good food, drinks are of course also available. Centrally located and easily accessible, there is a lot to see there. It's really worth it.

Visiting the source of the Werra there is always worthwhile.

Very good opportunity with many attractions, also or especially for children, to eat and drink.

At this point I would like to quickly say something about the source: To quote the incomparable humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 – 1979), who was known to a wide audience for his wordplay and “another poem,” with a short quatrain: "There's certainly a lot of beauty in it, on the element, the wet. Because you can drink the water. But you can leave it alone." (H.Erhardt)

It was probably here that Goethe wrote his poem "Over all summits is peace" in pencil on a wooden wall on the upper floor on the evening of September 6, 1780. The picturesque shed is therefore of great cultural and historical importance.

Arrived at the Werraquellhütte you can relax and enjoy the high-quality range of gastronomy. The design is based on a Swiss mountain hut. We felt like in South Tyrol, including a very good wine from the Unstrut 👌🏻. There is also a lot to discover for the children. Outside, they can explore the tower to the small pond, have fun at the water of the spring or visit and pet the animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, horses), of course under supervision 😊. Just beautiful there and a bit like vacation.

Perfect for a break in between.
