The rock massif between Wolkenstein and Floßplatz, the "Wolkenstein Switzerland", is a great place for hiking with small scrambles and wonderful views, but there are also many opportunities for climbing here 🙃.

The river rises in the Eastern Ore Mountains in the Czech Republic northwest of the village of Nové Město (New Town) and initially runs in a westerly direction. The source is only around one kilometer away from the source of the Wilde Weißeritz and the Freiberger Mulde.
