Since about 1480 a mill has been handed down on the upper weir, which is known today as Webermühle and at that time was the largest employer in the village. Not far from her, a spinning factory settled in about 1800, which was later converted into a felt factory and was bought by Martin Tannenhauer in 1910 and successfully continued as a furniture fabric weaving mill. Braunsdorf thus made its contribution to the industrial revolution in the 19th century!
