I actually saw the tobacco there last year while hiking. I think it's great that it's still being grown here, even though I'd like to see smoking banned (empty packs everywhere on the street, in the ditch, cigarette butts flying around everywhere – what a shame)!

In the summer, the Klosterhofspiele (Monastery Courtyard Plays) take place in the monastery's inner courtyard. Each year, there's a play for children and usually an entertaining classic for adults. Storks clatter from the roof every now and then during the performance. Tip: Bring a cushion from home.

Langenzenn passed into the possession of the Nuremberg burgraves from the House of Hohenzollern around 1248. The monastery, dedicated to Saint Mary, was founded in 1409 by John III and Frederick VI, burgraves of Nuremberg; it was dissolved in 1533 during the Reformation. The monastery, with its Gothic cloister, has been preserved.

A total of 17 bridges were built for the Main-Danube Canal in the city of Fürth between 1966 and 1975. Of these, five bridges are so-called trough or canal bridges, built between 1966 and 1971 for over 20 million DM. By far the most expensive trough bridge was the canal bridge over the Rednitz Valley, costing 12.237 million DM, while the cheapest canal bridge in the city was the canal bridge over Oberfürberger Straße (Michelbach Canal Bridge), which cost only 1.15 million DM to build in 1969.
