A really small village with the center of the castle 🏰, herb garden, shop and museum. A Hohenzollern castle that invites you to linger. You can park your bike and explore the small "village center" on foot is even better

Namesake of the first mentioned in 1388 market was mentioned in 1157 Cadolzburg. The current building stock of the castle, however, dates from the 13th to the 18th century. From 1260, the Cadolzburg served as the seat of the Hohenzollern burgraves of Nuremberg. Elector Frederick I of Brandenburg fundamentally rebuilt the castle. He died there in 1440. For the parish church dedicated to St. Cecilia he donated the altar of Cadolzburg from 1420/25.
